| The walk is a B+ circular of medium length approx. 3 1/2hrs duration from Istan car park. Travel Directions- Take either main route (M340/A7) towards La Canada (Marbella). Continue on the road towards Puerto Banus, and where the road splits keep in the right hand lanes to pass under the tunnel on the coast road. Immediately after the tunnel turn off at sign Istan A7176. Take this road following signs up the hill to the Town. At the town take the right fork and at the junction turn left to the square and car park area. Parking is on the square and the road towards the centre. We meet on the square, boot up, and walk to the bar in the centre for coffee. In the unlikely event of not enough car parking spaces there is the contingency of using the Hotel(now closed) car park. This Hotel is direcly up the hill from the square away from the town centre. | |||

| The walk is from the Village of Alcuacin in the Axarquia. It is a B+ of about 4 1/2hrs duration and is a circular walk. We start uphill on a Vechicle track for approx. 1 1/4hrs then turn off along a single ( Mule ) track, level for 1/2hr then making a gentle desent down the zigzags.( Shorts mot recommended ). The walk affords beautiful views over Lake Viñuela. | |||
